Family Events
Heart Beats hosts many family events throughout the year including a Summer Lake Day, Christmas Party, and our Annual Family Event to commemorate Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week (February 7-14).
Parent Events
Dad's Night Out, Mom's Night Out and Parent & Tots are open to all parents of children with CHD, whether your "heart child" is an infant, teen, or somewhere in between - we welcome you. We meet regularly to visit, build friendships and discuss the challenges and rewards of raising children with heart disease. OFFBEATS
Offbeats events, for junior and senior high-school aged youth with CHDs, take place throughout the year and include activities such as neon bowling, laser tag, lake days etc.

Family Camp
This camp is held over a weekend in September at beautiful Camp Evergreen in Sundre, Alberta. Highlights include canoeing, horseback riding/pony rides and ziplining. Accommodation are in heated cabins and all meals are included. Many friendships have been formed over evening campfires that feature songs, games and s’mores!
Annual Family Fun Run
Each year, Heart Beats organizes this fundraising event that features 5k run, 3k walk and a 1k children's walk/run. All proceeds go toward helping families with congenital heart defects in Southern Alberta.
